Power generation/Basic course
 Power generation equipment basic training

This training program provides a shortcut to master thermal power plant mechanisms.
Easily understandable by using sectional models of real boiler, turbine, etc.
Best suited for beginners in learning thermal power generation.
To familiarize yourself with names/roles/structures of various facilities.

Understand plant system configuration.

Study principles/structures from basics.

Boiler sectional model
(inside furnace)
Generator sectional models Turbine sectional model
To "see" and "feel" sectional models for better understanding.

Curriculum
Schedule Subjects Contents
1st day Outline of thermal power plant Outline and features of thermal power plant
Electrical equipment Study structures/functions of generator, auxiliary power facilities and transmission facilities by using sectional models (which internal structure can be seen by cutting the facilities that had been actually operating for training).
2nd day Turbine Use sectional models to study different systems of steam turbine and condensate water/feed water/seawater (condenser cooling water).
3rd day Boiler Use sectional models to study different systems of boiler and draft/fuel (oil/coal).
Environmental equipment Study principles/procedures of processes to remove pollutants in different equipment of precipitator, SCR, FGD, and wastewater treatment.
